Remembering September 11

Written by Dylan Deal | Sep 10, 2021 6:11:25 PM

This Saturday, America and much of the world will remember the terrorist attacks that occurred on 9/11/01.

We honor those who lost their lives and/or suffered because of these attacks and pay respects to those who responded to the call to help others on that day and afterward.

To commemorate this tragedy, we observed a 20-second moment of silence at 8:46 AM on Friday morning, the time the first plane flew into the north face of the North Tower.

Some of us have palpable memories of that day. Many of us were not born yet. All of us now live in a world profoundly different from the one prior to 9/11/01. Below are some helpful resources to illuminate what happened and how America responded.

One way to respond with gratitude is to write a note to a deployed service person. You may place your note(s) in the main office and the school will send them all together.

Be well,
