2019 Cum Laude Society Induction & Awards Ceremonies
This week, we recognized our Upper School students and their achievements through two award ceremonies held in Dyer Auditorium.
Several students were inducted into the Cum Laude Society. The Cum Laude Society was founded in 1906 to give appropriate recognition to scholastic achievement at the secondary school level. The society was modeled on Phi Beta Kappa, to encourage and reward the student scholar. The motto of the Cum Laude Society is based on the virtues of Areté, Diké, and Timé – Excellence, Justice and Honor.
(Not Pictured: Milan Mahesh ’19, Neil Deshmukh ’20, & Avi Singh ’20)
Membership is limited to a maximum of the top twenty percent of any graduating class. The basis for selection is academic achievement, rigor of academic program, and academic integrity. A recognition ceremony and breakfast for inductees and their families was held prior to the Underclass Awards Ceremony, held on May 30th.
Please join us in congratulating our Cum Laude inductees & student award winners:
