Dear Moravian Academy families,
As the memory of winter break fades and students are immersed in their academic endeavors and extracurricular interests, it is time for us to begin preparations for the 2020-2021 academic year.
You will see on the calendar that the Labor Day holiday is later than normal, which will mean several adjustments to the school calendar. The first week of school, for instance, will begin on a Tuesday and will include the All School Picnic as well as orientations and the first days for academic classes. Take a moment to read through the calendar and be sure to make note of the following:
- The school year begins on Tuesday, August 25, 2020; this will also be the date of the Back to School Picnic for all faculty, students, and families.
- Winter break will again be ten days over two full weeks, allowing ample time for family gatherings, travel, and enrichment activities.
- Next school year includes two additional days of instruction for students.
We are looking forward to enhanced opportunities to further develop the mission skills of curiosity, creativity, perseverance, and empathy in each student as we plan our next academic year.
Sincerely,
Dr. Erica L D'Agostino
Assistant Head of School
