I hope everyone is enjoying the summer and finding time to recharge. Summer is flying by which tells me we needed it and are really enjoying it. Below you will find links to important information as you prepare for the coming fall.

School Forms:
Login into myMA on www.moravianacademy.org
Once logged in, a yellow bar will show across the top of the page indicating that you have forms to review.
Click the bar and please complete all the forms listed for each of your children.
All electronic forms are due by August 21.
Daily Schedule
Please note each day’s first class begins at 8:30 AM and the last class ends at 3:30 PM. Our first week of school will look like this:
Monday, August 30: a day for conferences between students/families and advisors (invitations to sign up will be sent mid-August); currently these are designed to be in person and/or virtual, depending on the family’s desire, and the conference is the student’s only obligation this day
Tuesday, August 31: a full day on campus (8:30 AM -3:30 PM); will function as an orientation (school, class, advisory meetings, and run through an abbreviated schedule)
Wednesday - Thursday, September 1 - 2: our US retreat to Trout Lake Retreat Center (we will leave after all-school chapel and return the afternoon of the 2nd); refined health and safety protocols for this event will be shared directly
Friday, September 3: a normal academic schedule but classes will run remotely (students will be off campus)
Monday, September 6: Labor Day, NO SCHOOL
Pre-Season Physicals and Registration
In order to compete in fall athletics, athletes need to complete the Pre-Participation Athletic Forms and Registration online at PlanetHS. Please visit our Pre-Season Physicals and Registration for more information.
Summer Reading and Resources
Please refer to the summer reading and resources links below for work that needs to be completed before returning to school in September. Feel free to contact the Upper School Office,( 610) 691-1600, should you have questions.
Dress Code and Personal Appearance Guidelines: Arrive with Intention
Moravian Academy understands that clothing choice is a personal matter and, thus, creates room for student choice. As a community rooted in the Moravian tradition, we encourage students to choose clothing that is respectful to themselves and others and conducive to learning. In the end, be present, be prepared.
School Calendar
Conferences will take place on Monday, August 30 and the first day of school for students will be Tuesday, August 31.
We will send a sign-up for conferences as we get closer to the back-to-school season.
Faces in New Places
I am excited to share with you that Kathryn Barnhardt will still be in the classroom part-time and will now also serve as our learning specialist. Mrs. Barnhardt will be a dynamic learning support resource to all students and can be found in the Maker Space or Walter 104.
Upcoming Events
The Back-to-School Community Picnic will be held on the Merle-Smith Campus on Sunday, August 29th. Please join us any time between 2:00-5:00 PM for an afternoon of food, fun, and games. Meet new members of our school community and reconnect with friends. No pets, please.
Medical Forms
Some medical forms still require a physician's signature. These forms will need to be downloaded and printed. Please return the forms requiring a physician's signature to the Upper School School Main Office when classes start. Additionally, if your child has received any updates to their immunizations, please send a copy of their updated record to the main office. All forms are due by August 21.
