To complete their world religion unit, fifth grade students on the Swain Campus had the pleasure of learning about Hinduism from Swati Bhatnagar, mother of Malika Varma '30.

She gave a heartwarming presentation about the origin, practices, and beliefs of the Hindu people. She also taught the students about the upcoming Festival of Lights: Diwali and brought the students candles and a traditional Indian snack. The students were able to see and feel traditional wedding wear! We thoroughly enjoyed the magnificent presentation.
