Our Swain Friends in prekindergarten - fourth grade were recently treated to a musical story telling of "Peter and the Wolf" by Sergei Prokofiev, when the Allentown Symphony Wind Quintet performed on the McCann Stage.
The Allentown Symphony Wind Quintet consists of a flute, oboe, clarinet, French horn, and bassoon player, a story narrator and Timpani.
Each instrument and musician represented a different character in the story. The different sounds of their wood wind instrument brought the story to life! All those in attendance enjoyed an upbeat, fun, and whimsical musical tale!
