Merle-Smith students in the science elective, Anatomy & Physiology, had some fun reviewing outside with sidewalk chalk.
The students are studying anatomical body regions and planes in their first unit of the year. They were first to roughly draw a human body in anatomical position. The body needed to include digits as well (on both hands and feet). Mrs. Sheetz would then have them add a mark on particular body regions and planes. These included terms such as sagittal plane, frontal plane, sternal region, axillary region, and femoral region. We enjoyed the beautiful weather outside for this anatomical review activity.
