District and State competitions are the highlights of our athletic seasons!  Our teams and student-athletes continue to represent their community extremely well. 

Our Varsity girls’ soccer team won in impressive fashion in the semi-finals as they defeated Colonial League opponent, Catasauqua, by a 6-0 score.  They will now face Minersville in the District Finals this evening at Northwestern High School. The game is set to begin at 5:00 pm tonight.

Our Varsity boys’ soccer team won with an equally dominant performance defeating Tri-Valley by a 7-1 result.  They will also play in the District Finals tonight vs. Schuylkill Haven at Northwestern. Kickoff is set for 7:00 pm.

Our Varsity field hockey team defeated Lehighton in the District XI semi-finals by a 3-0 score, but fell in overtime to Northwestern in the finals to earn the silver medal.  Their season continues as they had already qualified for the PIAA State tournament. The first round of the State tournament is Tuesday, November 5. The team will play vs. New Hope Solebury at Wissahickon HS – 7 pm start.  

Isabella Bartolacci '22 competes today in the PIAA State singles tournament in Hershey while our boys’ cross-country team also travels to Hershey to run in the PIAA State meet Saturday morning at 11:45 am. Lily Eyvazzadeh '22 will also run as an individual in the PIAA State meet Saturday morning. Her race begins at 9:30 am.  

Although our fall season is not completed, we are in full preparation for the winter athletic season.  Please do not forget to turn in your completed PIAA paperwork or re-certification forms if you are planning to play a winter sport.  Here is the link for all of the information: https://www.moravianacademy.org/athletic-forms
