It’s been a busy few weeks on the athletic fields and courts despite mother nature’s lack of cooperation.
It was a big day on Thursday for the varsity boys’ tennis team as they captured the Colonial League Tournament championship. With the Tennis Team record currently sitting at 9-1, they look poised to once again make a run at the District XI Team tournament title. Congratulations to the players, Coach Brown, and Coach Lazo!
It was a busy week as well on the diamond, as our baseball team hosted Palisades on Friday on the Merle-Smith Campus. After two close defeats, the Lions pulled off a big victory over Pen Argyl by a 11-5 score.
After three tough losses for our girls’ lacrosse program as they faced East Penn Conference opponents, Easton, Parkland and Emmaus, the girls responded with a strong performance at home as they defeated Nazareth by a 17-10 score. The boys’ program competed well, but lost on Easton’s newly renovated turf field by a 4-2 score and returned home on Thursday to fall to Parkland by a 7-4 score. The boys’ team rebounded well as they beat Nazareth on the road by a 10-3 score.
Congratulations to Grace Burcaw '22 and Vinnie Lamberti '22 who were recognized as Moravian Academy’s Lehigh Valley Soccer Scholar Athlete representatives! Student athletes were selected based on their academic record, community service involvement, and of course performance on the soccer field.
