The Varsity Boys’ Tennis Team has taken a hiatus this week from team matches. The focus has been on the District XI singles and doubles tournament. Our boys have not disappointed with their performances. Congratulations to Ford Koch '24 for earning a silver medal in the singles tournament and to Aveer Chadha '26 for receiving a bronze medal after.
We then moved on to the District doubles competition where our players continued their strong showing. Aveer and Ford teamed up this time to win the District XI doubles championship in a tough three set match over the team from Central Catholic. Our other doubles team had strong performances with Brian Yang '25 and Harry Vicic '25 losing in the semi-finals. Hunter Zicherman '25 and Jackson Reid '24 reached the quarter final round and unfortunately had to play against their teammates, Ford and Aveer.
The team will now focus on the District Team competition as they host Bethlehem Catholic on Monday, 4/29, at 4 PM.
The Boys’ Lacrosse Team is currently riding a three-game winning streak after defeating Bethlehem Catholic, Northampton, and Pleasant Valley. They have evened out their record at 5-5 and will look to continue their winning ways on Monday as they travel to play Central Catholic at Salisbury High School.
Our track and field athletes are continuing to make great contributions to Notre Dame’s program. AJ Sasso '24 currently has posted the fastest time in the 800 M and the second fastest in the 1600 M in the Colonial League. Teammate, Joseph Phillips '24, ranks 2nd in the 110 M hurdles and 3rd in the 300 M hurdles. The boys’ and girls’ team records stand at 7-2.
