Athletics Update: June 10, 2022

Written by Manny Oudin | Jun 10, 2022 5:13:31 PM

Although the school year has just ended, we are in full preparation mode for the beginning of the fall season.

As a reminder, the Upper School fall sports season will begin on Monday August 15, 2022, and the Middle School sports fall season will begin on Monday August 22, 2022.  We are looking forward to the sports physicals that will take place on Tuesday, June 14, from 5-8 PM in the AWC on the Merle-Smith Campus.  There are still appointments available if you have not signed up. These sports physicals are good for the entire 2022-23 athletic season. Please sign up if you have not yet done so.

St. Luke's Sport Performance will be conducting a speed/agility/power and strength training program on campus this summer.  This program is completely FREE to all of our student athletes. It includes the opportunity to do a speed/agility/power program and an individual/team strength-training program at no cost for our students.  This is a great opportunity for our athletes to make improvements in their overall conditioning and to prepare for the athletic seasons. Students will also learn to feel more comfortable in our fitness center as they develop more confidence in that space.  If you have any questions about the program, please contact Maddie Armstrong.

The program will start on Monday, June 20, and will run through Thursday August 4, on the fields adjacent to the Athletic and Wellness Center.  The program will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays through the month of June and July.  Here is the schedule:

Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday
starting on Monday, June 20

9-9:45 AM Girls' teams Speed and Agility session

10-10:45 AM Boys' teams Speed and Agility session
