It was another busy week of athletic events filled with some clutch performances!

The girls’ soccer team won their quarterfinal district game in dramatic fashion as Angel Deluhery '25 scored in overtime to defeat Palisades.  The team followed that victory by beating Williams Valley in the semifinal round by a 2-0 score.  Elle Price '26 secured the win by burying her penalty kick late in the second half.  Next up is the District Finals where the girls will face Pine Grove on Wednesday, Nov. 1, with a 5:00 PM start at Blue Mountain High School.

The girls’ tennis team season came to an end in dramatic fashion as they lost a close match to Scranton Prep. by a 3-2 score.  The girls should be proud of their collective accomplishments after winning both a Colonial League Championship and a District Team Championship.

The boys soccer team advanced to the District XI finals as they beat Northern Lehigh by a 6-0 score.  The Lions will now face Palisades in the District Finals on Wednesday, Nov. 1 with 7:00 PM start at Emmaus High School.

The field hockey team’s quest for a District title continues as they defeated Catasauqua on Wednesday in the quarterfinal round of the tournament.  The Lions won by a 2-1 score and will now face Palmerton on Monday, Nov. 30, at 6:00 PM at Whitehall High School.

The boys’ and girls’ cross-country teams competed in the District XI Championship this past Wednesday. Virginia Kraus '26 repeated as the girls 1A Champion for the second consecutive year in impressive fashion. Another significant highlight was the performance of the girls’ team as they earned silver medals and qualified to compete in the PIAA State meet.  On the boys side, Krish Gupta '24 ran very well to also qualify to the PIAA Championships.  Overall the boys’ team finished in 7th place to end their season.
