Designers & Architects at Work

As a culminating project learning about ratios, proportions, and scaled maps, sixth-grade students enlarged an image of their choice by hand. Students were able to choose a scale factor between two and four as long as it fit on the posterboard. In their reflections, students shared how proud they were of their final products and were impressed by how much it looked like the original. Check out the architects’ masterpieces in the album below.
