On Thursday, January 6, the Post-SIP fifth- and sixth-grade classes had the opportunity to listen to Sr. Alex Manuel Mendoza-Viruet talk to them about El Día de los Reyes.
Sr. Mendoza-Viruet, a fourth- and fifth-grade teacher in Puerto Rico, not only talked about the origins of the holiday but also spoke about how it is celebrated on the island.
He also explained how in Puerto Rico the Christmas season is the longest, lasting a month and a half! After his presentation, students from both classes were able to ask questions they were curious about.
