Class of 2024 Events

May 10, 2024

We are five weeks from graduation for the Class of 2024. Given their achievement, scholarship, talent, and leadership, this will be a proud moment for Moravian Academy. They are an exceptional group of young people!

AP Exams will be administered May 6-16. Senior classes run through Tuesday, May 14 and a senior celebration will take place on campus during that final class day. Senior exams (non-AP) will take place May 15-17, with May 17 as the last day for seniors to turn in Semester 2 work. The junior/senior prom takes place on the evening of May 17 at the Hotel Bethlehem.

For two weeks, from May 20-30, seniors will be off campus working on their Senior Independent Post-Term Projects. Each senior should have proposed and had their project approved by post-term leaders Patti Davis and Dr. Rachel Engl at this point and be in communication with their off-campus post-term advisors.

Below are important events concerning graduation that seniors are required to attend on Friday, May 31:

  • 8 a.m. - Seniors arrive at Snyder for a light breakfast and give final presentations on their post-term experiences. This is the final requirement for graduation. Note that seniors are expected to be in dress code on this day. Seniors return computers, chargers, and key cards at this time.
  • 9:30 a.m. - Commencement rehearsal at Snyder House.
  • 10:45 a.m. - Senior Awards Assembly in Dyer Auditorium.
  • 12 p.m. - Senior/Faculty Luncheon in the Melhado Dining Room.
  • 6 p.m. - Seniors should arrive no later than 5:45 p.m. Families of seniors are invited to join them for the Baccalaureate service at Central Moravian Church beginning at 6 p.m. Remember that parking downtown is limited, so plan ahead! Baccalaureate usually lasts approximately one to one and one-half hours. No tickets or reservations are required. For students, formal dress is expected.
