Community Sunflower Mandala for Ukraine

On Monday, March 7, 2022 a large mandala was hung in Rogers’ Commons. Started by third, fifth, and seventh grade students, all school community members were invited to draw or color the mandala.

Mandalas represent life, wholeness and unity. A sunflower was chosen as the initial design to send healing and prayers to the people in Ukraine. The act of creating a mandala is a calm, quiet, meditative experience. 

Art supplies were left out next to the mandala so as many community members as possible could add their unique artistic touches while taking a quiet, reflective moment.
