The five-hour launch window begins Wednesday, September 15, at 8:02 PM EST.
Weather conditions will ultimately determine the launch time. If conditions are not met at the close of the five-hour window, the crew will try to launch again on Thursday at 8:05 PM.
SpaceX and Netflix are both streaming the launch live on their YouTube channels. The SpaceX stream is below.
Moravian Academy is grateful to be able to experience this historic moment as a community. In addition to mission commander and MA parent Jared Isaacman, the crew includes:
Haley Arceneaux, who, at 29 years old, will be the youngest person to travel to orbit, as well as the first person with a prosthetic body part.
Shian Proctor, who makes history as the first Black woman to serve as the pilot of a spacecraft.
Christopher Sembroski, a data engineer for Lockheed Martin who was once a counselor at Space Camp.
Source: The New York TimesOur entire school community will be cheering on the crew. We're sending all of our well-wishes and support to the Isaacman family, who have been exceedingly gracious in allowing students to share in this journey. Last spring, Mr. Isaacman presented to students and will be bringing a signed Moravian Academy flag on board the mission.
