Lions Bring Home Awards at DECA State Competition

Last week, 33 Upper School students traveled to the Hershey Lodge in Hershey, PA to compete in the 69th Annual DECA Career Development Conference.

Held February 19th - 21st, the conference boasted 2,357 participants and 61 competitive events this year!  Students spent two days dressed in their best business attire, taking exams, participating in business-themed role-plays, and showing powerful presentations in a vast array of topics.

On the third day, prizes were awarded to the top six place winners in each category which ranged from Accounting to Hospitality & Tourism.  Students in the top four places in each category will have the opportunity to compete in the International Conference held in Nashville, TN this spring.

      • Neil Deshmukh '20 - 2nd Place - Business Growth Plan
      • Michael Alchaer '23, Roshen Gandotra '23, and Jack Perrucci '23 - 5th Place - Sales Project  
      • Okezue Bell '23 and Wisdom Ufondu '23 - 6th Place - Independent Business Plan
      • Vincent Menichelli '22 and Samit Mohapatra '22 - 6th Place - Financial Services Team Decision Making
