Kindergartners love the movie Frozen, especially the character Olaf!
In honor of Olaf, our kindergartners made snowmen and introduced some heat. Unlike Olaf, they know that the heat will melt the snowman but they wanted to try something different... They asked, "Will a snowman with clothes melt faster than a snowman without clothes?"
About half of the students felt that the snowman without clothes will melt faster because the heat source can directly heat the snowman. The other half of the students believe that the snowman with the clothes will melt faster because the clothes will make the snowman warmer.
This experiment is teaching the students patience since they will have to wait for the snowmen to melt to get the results.
