Downstairs Kindergarten traveled to the Allentown Art Museum as a culmination of their classroom art unit.
They learned about different forms of art such as portraits, landscapes, architecture, sculptures, and why it's important to create art from different perspectives. Students learned how to observe art closely to hunt for hidden details such as gems or signatures. While at the museum, we saw many forms of art including embroidery and a sculpture made from books! Local artists were on exhibit, making it possible for us to learn more about our community.
Pictured are some snapshots from our field trip as well as some of our kindergarteners' creative work!
