Empathy First: Girl Scouts Donate Cookies for Vaccine Clinic Volunteers

March 06, 2021

The importance of empathy is front of mind for Moravian Academy students, including our school's Girl Scouts who wanted to show kindness to the volunteers in our community's vaccine clinics.

The Scouts set aside 170 boxes of cookies to do something sweet for the volunteers who are keeping our community safe and healthy. "They know who our heroes are in this community," said Colleen Marshall (parent of student and Girl Scout Savannah Marshall '31) in an interview for WFMZ. "They know it's our nurses. They know it's our doctors. They know it's the scientist. And they know it's the people in these clinics who are the volunteers who are getting shots into arms as quickly as they can."

We're proud of our Scouts for showing our community what empathy is all about. If you would like to support the troupe, the deadline to order cookies is March 7, 2021.
