In the winter the second grade studied the history of the Colonial Moravians settling Bethlehem. There are so many places within walking distance to make the history come alive! 

We had planned to visit Moravian College to see the back of the Brethren’s House and the statue of Countess Benigna. Each time we attempted to take this walk, we encountered setbacks with scheduling, weather, etc. We were delighted that we finally were able to visit Countess Benigna’s statue and Brethren’s House on a beautiful spring morning.
