Fifth grade participated in a multifaceted economy simulation during the last two months of library classes on the platform Stash 101.
They were responsible for creating and maintaining a resume and cover letter in order to get a job in a virtual town called Fast Lane City. Students started at low-level jobs earning low wages, where they gained experience and obtained Fast Lane City College credits.
With experience and education in hand they were able to achieve more lucrative career opportunities in any of the Fast Lane City Locations including the Grocery Store, Burger Thru, The Factory, The Bank or the Hospital. Jobs included Burger Thru Cooks, Grocery Store Butchers, Factory Engineers, Hospital Nurses, and even an Online Warehouse Manager. Students were responsible for earning enough money to pay rent, purchase food, pay for college courses, and even collect assets.
I am proud of each and every one of the students for participating and putting forth an excellent effort.
