This week we went to la granja in Jardín de Infancia. While we couldn't visit the farm in person, we brought it to our classroom.
After patiently waiting for 21 days, our pollitos hatched from their eggs, and we were so excited to welcome the seven of them to our class. It was great to have some real farm creatures in our classroom for our farm week. It was also a great lesson in learning how much work it is to care for animals on the farm. We were able to take a virtual field trip to a farm, and see how much work is done every day. We got some hands-on experience ourselves by doing farm chores like milking a cow, feeding the animals, and collecting eggs that hens laid around the yard to feel like we were in person at the farm.
