Before departing for the much-anticipated Thanksgiving break, students from the Middle and Lower School welcomed their grandparents to their classroom before heading down to the Grandparents’ Lovefeast at Central Moravian Church.
Highlights included the Sixth Grade Handbell Choir’s performance of Come, Ye Thankful People, Come by George J. Elvey, the Fifth Grade Handbell Choir’s performance of Spanish Hymn arranged by Susan Berry and Janey Van Valey, and readings of Proverbs 4 and 2 Timothy 1 by Rodrigo Terry ’26 and Sophia Vidal ’23 respectively.
Mr. Thomas Kirkwood, father of Charles Kirkwood ’24, delivered this year’s Meditation. Mr. Kirkwood spoke to the childlike joy that can be found in curiosity and the importance of spending time with those around you, grandparents included.
Thank you to all of our visiting grandparents! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
