Before departing for the much-anticipated Thanksgiving break, students from our Middle and Lower School welcomed their grandparents to their classroom before heading down to the Grandparents’ Lovefeast at Central Moravian Church.

Highlights included ministry of music from the Fifth-Grade Handbell Choir, Middle School Concert Band, and Sixth-Grade Handbell Choir.
Mrs. Karen Washington, Director of Community and Inclusion, delivered this year’s Meditation. As a grandmother to four children, she reflected on the significant role her grandparents and grandparent figures played in her own life as she was growing up. She stressed the importance of simply spending time and bonding with those around you, using the metaphor and imagery of a quilt to bring her message home.
Thank you to all of our visiting grandparents! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
