All around the Downtown Campus, Ms. Permar's seventh-grade English students could be seen popping in and out of classroom spaces to perform a 3-5 minute scene from Shakespeare's Hamlet.
Students of all ages, from Pre-Kindergarteners to eighth-graders, had a chance to witness Shakespeare's language come to life! The seventh-graders were assigned scenes from the play and were responsible for trimming down the scene to fit within the time limit, assigning characters in small groups, and memorizing Shakespeare's original language to help transport the Downtown Campus into the world of Hamlet!
