On Friday, September 9, students in Dr. Engl's new senior elective, Hands on History, had the opportunity to visit the Moravian Academy Archives housed on the third floor in Snyder.
Archivist Judy Gemmel first provided a brief overview of the school's history and then presented students with a wonderful array of artifacts from the archives. Everyone had a wonderful time learning about the challenges and issues with creating and maintaining an archive. The best part of the visit was when students had the chance to look at old yearbooks to find family members and relatives, in addition to teachers who are still at the Merle-Smith Campus today, like Ms. Davis and Ms. Maurer!
