HDC Now Accepting Holiday Hope Chest Donations
The Volunteer Center of Lehigh Valley organizes an annual program, Holiday Hope Chest.
Winter-themed wrapped boxes are filled with suggested items and are given to homeless and disadvantaged school-age youth in the Lehigh Valley. Since 2000, Moravian Academy has donated 2,537 boxes. The need continues to grow and this year, Lehigh Valley non-profit organizations are requesting over 8,000 thousand boxes for children.
Who: We are collecting items specifically for girls, boys, or non-gender specific ages 9 - 16 years.
What:
- Regular-sized shoeboxes or decorative memory
boxes (separate lid preferred; no boot boxes) - Winter-themed wrapping paper for shoeboxes
- Items to fill the shoeboxes - See Amazon Wish List
- Non-gender-specific items
Where: Items purchased from our Amazon Wishlist can be mailed directly to the school! Donations can also be:

dropped off at the entryway of Lower School Main Building, 7 East, or Devey

When: The donation deadline is Tuesday, November 21, 2023
