Parent of Noah '29, Kym Farr shaved her head to raise money for the St. Baldrick's Foundation.

St. Baldrick's, a volunteer and donor powered charity committed to supporting the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives, is an organization whose mission is dear to Kym and others in the Moravian Academy community. Kym Braved the Shave in memory of Arden Quinn Bucher, daughter of Amy Bucher (current parent of Grayson '25 and Zoey '28), who passed away from pediatric cancer when she was just four years old. 

By shaving her head for the fundraiser, Kym hoped to rally support within our community and beyond to raise $50,000. She more than doubled her goal, raising $131,538 in support of pediatric cancer research! 

The care and support between families in our community is truly amazing. Thank you to everyone who supported this event, bringing us one step closer to finding a cure for pediatric cancers.
