In celebration of Veterans Day, Lieutenant Commander Rory Yoder '06MA shared a video message with our students about his role in the U.S. Coast Guard, why he chose this career path, and the importance of Veterans Day.
On Friday, November 10, Moravian Academy alumnus Rory Yoder '06 shared a message with our students in honor of Veterans Day. Yoder is a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Coast Guard and reflected on why he joined the U.S. Coast Guard and what Veterans Day means to him. He says, "First and foremost, you can define a veteran as someone who chooses to be a part of something greater than themselves and is willing to risk their life to do so." We invite you to watch below to hear his entire message in his own words.
Thank you, LCDR Yoder, for your service to our country and for giving back to the Moravian Academy community by sharing your experience with our students.
He also shared his story in the spring 2023 issue of the Moravian Academy Journal. Read it here.
