Congratulations to Lily Eyvazzadeh '22 and Theo Urban '22 as they were recognized as Moravian Academy’s Colonial League Academic All-Star representatives. 

Representatives and their families from all of the Colonial League member schools were celebrated at a breakfast that took place at Green Pond Country Club on Thursday, 4/28.  Lily and Theo were the student speakers for the event and Mr. Deal offered closing remarks to close the recognition.  

Spring season continues to roll right along with some exciting performances despite the weather conditions that our student-athletes have been facing.  Our Varsity boys’ tennis team took a short hiatus from team competitions during the District XI singles tournament.  Will Menichelli '24 took home a bronze medal losing to the eventual runner up.  The team will now shift their focus to the District team competition as they host Bethlehem Catholic on Monday, 5/2, at 4 PM.  

Busy week as well on the diamond, as our baseball team will travel this afternoon to Southern Lehigh to face Salisbury in a Colonial League match up.  The boys’ have continued to improve on the fields.

With a 5-7 record, our girls’ lacrosse team will look to respond at home on Saturday as they host Saucon Valley for a 10 AM start.  Our boys’ team, after posting an impressive 14-2 win vs. Southern Lehigh, will also play on Saturday as they travel to Saucon Valley. Their record stands at 7-4. 

Mark your calendars for the Senior Day games for our girls’ and boys’ lacrosse teams as we will recognize our seniors and their families on Thursday, 5/12.  The games will take place at Moravian University’s John Makuvek field.  The girls’ lacrosse team will play at 5 PM followed by the boys’ team at 7 PM.  

Please mark your calendars for Tuesday, June 14!  St. Luke’s University Health Network will be offering free sport physicals for the 2022-23 Academic Year.  The physicals will take place on the Merle-Smith Campus in the Athletic and Wellness Center from 5 PM – 8 PM.  These physicals will be valid for all athletes who are planning to play a sport next year.  More information to follow soon to sign up for a time slot.
