Lower School Film Festival 2020
February 04, 2020
Calling all filmmakers! Lower School students are invited and encouraged to participate in our film fest by creating movies.
All movies are due by Monday, April 27. Our assembly will be Friday, May 1.
- Any type of film is welcome (iMovie trailer, commercial, music video, animation, etc.)
- Films should be three minutes in length or shorter.
- Films should include a title and end credits. The student's name should be in the credits.
- Camera shots should be smooth and not jumpy. Recording voices should be loud and clear.
- Students must have consent to use any music or musical scores in your films. Please do not use any music that has a copyright without permission. The music that comes with iMovie is fine to use.
- Movie format should be .mov, .mp4, or .m4v.
Since it’s the 10th year, we'd like to offer a special challenge to incorporate the number 10 into the submitted films. It doesn't have to be (although it certainly could be) an integral part of the film, but students should try working the number 10 somewhere into their film (e.g. a dime, ten-dollar bill, locker #10, a page number, date, time, jersey #10, road sign, etc.).
Students should feel free to contact me if they need help with an idea, editing, or need suggestions for their movie.
