¡Sigue el camino amarillo, follow yellow brick road! The Lower School Players are proud to present their first-ever bilingual production of The Wonderful Mago de Oz.
The virtual production features characters that speak both English and Spanish. In addition, the group of fifth-graders welcomed the fourth-graders into this performance. Students have been hard at work rehearsing multiple times a week since March perfecting not only their acting skills but their Spanish language skills.
The virtual setting also allowed students who wanted to be a part of the stage crew to design backgrounds for Zoom and record music for the show. We loved watching the fun and excitement play out on the virtual stage and how the students took their roles and made them their own. They should be very proud of their work to bring us from Kansas to Oz and back, always remembering: “No hay lugar como el hogar." "There is no place like home.”
