Lunch Options for Passover

Written by Rev. Jennifer Nichols | Apr 12, 2022 5:55:25 PM

This year, Passover falls over a complete week of school, Tuesday, April 19 to Friday, April 22.

During this week, Dining Services on the Downtown and Merle-Smith Campuses will provide a special menu for those who are celebrating.

PASSOVER MENU

All Week
Matzah Ball Soup and Matzo

Tuesday
Loaded Cheeseburger Fries with Vegan Cheese

Wednesday
Roast Turkey, Yukon Gold Potatoes, Roasted Acorn Squash

Thursday
Chicken or Veggie Szechuan Stir Fry over Rice

Friday
Cheesesteak Bowl w/Vegan Cheese Sauce

As you know, Moravian Academy does not have a kosher kitchen; however, the Passover menu will mark at least one lunch offering on each day's menu that does not include bread or breading, does not mix meat and dairy, and does not contain pork or shellfish. Students, faculty and staff members may consult the menu in advance, or ask a member of the dining staff,  as they go through the food line, "What's good for Passover today?" There will also be matzo available daily.

Thank you to our Director of Dining Operations, Mr. Ben Leffler, for making these arrangements. For all who are celebrating, may Passover this year be a time of remembrance and hope.
