On the Merle-Smith Campus, the seniors have the option to take English electives. In our *Sense of Place *class, we read Barry Lopez's memorable book *About This Life.* 

It's a collection of seventeen essays that "probe\[\] the mysterious connections among landscape, memory, and imagination." The assignment asked students to select one of the essays from the book and create a found poem from it. Part of the task was to write a poem that gave a reader a sense of the essay, its content, and its intention. Students designed the display of poems and titled it (Pro)found Poetry. 

Students in the class are: Juliana Blobe, Jack Bowser, Lily Farr, Priya Francis, Soren Gandhi, Eric Jackson, Gennaro Mazzella, Treyton Messman, Ava Perrucci, Max Josa Sanchez, Bea Shannon.
