Middle School Spirit Week 2020
Students may be a bit more inspired to return to school after the mid-winter break because next week (starting February 19th through February 21st) will be Spirit Week at the Middle School!
Sponsored by the Student Forum, Spirit Week means on each day students may wear their school uniform or participate in the theme day chosen by the student body. This year’s themes are:
Wednesday, February 19th - Pajama Day
Thursday, February 20th - Disney Day
Friday, February 21st - Sports Day
As a general rule, all participation should maintain the integrity of our school dress code and be conducive to our learning environment.
- For Pajama Day, pajamas that are provocative, revealing, or sexual in nature are not permitted.
- For Disney Day, students should not wear masks or any item that would impede one’s vision or identity, and face painting should be minimal so that students' faces are recognizable.
- For Sports Day, students may wish to wear a team jersey or clothing specific to a particular sport but should not carry around sports equipment that would pose a safety concern.
The week culminates with the Student Forum Dance, which will be from 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Friday, February 21st and has the theme “Starry Night.” The theme for the dance is for decorations only; students do not need to dress according to the theme. All students must be signed out by a parent or other adult responsible for that student. Sign outs will occur in the gym in the same way as our previous dances. Parents may begin to enter the building at 8:45 pm through the double doors closest to the gym along Market Street.
Enjoy the days off, and when we return we can all enjoy some Spirit Week fun!
