Holiday Hope Chest

Each year the Middle School collects Holiday Hope Chests, which are given to homeless and disadvantaged middle school-age youth in the Lehigh Valley. Holiday Hope Chests are shoeboxes filled with age-appropriate stocking stuffer type goodies. This year we will be collecting for Holiday Hope Chests until Monday, November 11th. The sixth grade will be filling boxes on Friday, November 15th.  Since 2000, Moravian Academy Middle School has donated over 1,500 Holiday Hope Chests. We look forward to another great year!

We are asking for regular size shoeboxes to decorate and fill. Please note that shoeboxes with separate lids are the easiest to wrap.  Please do not send in boot boxes. Each student is encouraged to bring in two items to drop-off with their advisor. Interested in an advisory competition? The advisory with the most items will win a food treat and a non-uniform day to be selected sometime after Thanksgiving. Please note the guidelines that have been given to us below:

Items to avoid: Balloons, Cameras, Gum, Candy, Food, Glass Items, Money, Religious Materials, Sharp Items: Razors, Knives, Scissors, Toy Guns, Used or Opened Items, Violent or Inappropriate Music, Movies, Books

Deadline to drop off items: Monday 11/11
