On Saturday, February 5, Moravian Academy students participated in the PMEA District Chorus at Berks Catholic High School.
Alicia Gordon '24, Charles Bingham '23, and Sebastian Holbrook '22 performed at the concert and learned that they are advancing to the Regional Chorus.
"I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such an amazing director and high school musicians, to come together to create beautiful music in the midst of the chaos and uncertainty of our world today," says Alicia, who participated in District Chorus for the first time this year. She was "incredibly honored and beyond excited" to learn that she would continue to regionals.
District Chorus was "a very special experience" for Charles as well. He enjoyed singing with talented people "who share the same passion for singing that I do." He continues, "It was also very exciting as we worked the whole day preparing songs for an evening concert in front of a large audience."
Sebastian "enjoyed spending time working with Dr. Shelley and singers from other schools [as] we prepared for the District concert." He was "thrilled" to find out that he was selected for the Region V Chorus and that "[his] efforts preparing for the Regionals audition had paid off."
All three students are proud to be sharing in their chorus success together. Congratulations to Alicia, Charles, and Sebastian, and good luck at the Region V Chorus!
