Over the last week, Pre-K has been learning about the care and maintenance of our teeth.
They have learned how to properly brush and floss to continue having bright smiles. We know that floss needs to hug each tooth to clean them, and we are also aware we need to brush at least twice a day, morning and night, for two minutes. Some of the students took such a great interest in teeth that they would like to become dentists when they grow up.
On Wednesday, March 1, Dr. Belani visited all of Pre-K to continue our learning of tending to our teeth. Dr. Belani is the father of Ayaan Belani ’36. Both of Ayaan’s parents are dentists in the Lehigh Valley. Dr. Belani explained the importance of keeping our teeth clean from bacteria that love to play hide and seek with us. We even got to brush a giant mouth to show how to properly brush. Dr. Belani was also very impressed with our knowledge about our teeth.
We received a special goodie bag with the essential cleaning supplies for our teeth, such as a new toothbrush, floss, and a sand timer to help us keep track of our two-minute cleaning time. We enjoyed Dr. Belani’s visit and appreciated the time and knowledge he shared with us.
