"Pumpkin" the kitten hit the jackpot when he was discovered on the Downtown Campus!
On Monday, I was walking my class to lunch and one of my students spotted a little kitten under one of the trees by the lunchroom. After school, Sra. Matlack, her daughter Junie '32, Mr. Matt Keretz, and I went back to the spot where we saw it. After some chasing and capturing, we finally caught it!
As news about the kitten spread around school, we learned that Debbie from our awesome Dining Services team had found the kitten in the parking lot before the rest of us and, unbeknownst to us, had been feeding him. Debbie was thrilled to learn that we had been caring for Pumpkin!
The happy ending to this story? Debbie, who said that it "felt like fate," decided to give Pumpkin a home!
Thank you to everyone who showed compassion to Pumpkin! If you have a story to spread positivity around campus, be sure to share it with Julia Fox, Associate Director of Communications, at jfox@mamail.net!
