What can be more rewarding and exciting than getting to see your old friends at the beginning of the school year? Finding new friends, of course!
Our second-graders in the Spanish Immersion Program were delighted to find out that last June, the rising seventh-grade Post Immersion Spanish class had written cards for them, rising second-graders. It was lovely to hear that some of my second graders already knew some of the students who wrote their cards, and just felt more connected to them through a great token of kindness.
What a great opportunity for our class to practice their writing skills and return the joy to our current seventh graders. Thank you Sr. Yerrington for being the bridge between our classrooms.
