Congratulations to the Moravian Academy Quiz Bowl A Team for taking fifth place out of 50 at the 2021 Small School National Championship Tournament. 

Quiz Bowl A team members include Angela Chen '21, Eric Jackson '22, Samit Mohapatra '22, Grace Sanborn '21, and Divik Verma '22. In addition to the team success, Divik Verma '22 placed sixth in the all-star open division, earning him a place on the all-state second team. 

The wins for the Quiz Bowl team don't stop there. Team advisor Elissa Manlove has been awarded the Grater Pennsylvania Quiz Bowl (GPQB) Coach of the Year!

According to GPQB: 

Congratulations to Elissa Manlove of Moravian Academy for winning Coach of the Year for 2020-2021. Moravian was not expected to be one of the top teams in the state this year, but flourished under her tutelage. Both the A and B team had strong seasons where multiple players contributed and the team worked particularly well together on bonuses, showing good coaching and discipline. Finishing 5th at SSNCT and a potential HSNCT run are icing on the cake.

"I have been so impressed with the continued improvement and strong tournament finishes of the team this year," says Manlove. "The award I received is a tribute to the dedication and perseverance of the team members."
