Red and Gold Challenge Cup 2020
Red and Gold Games are Back!
Moravian Academy will again engage in the age old question, is this Red’s year or is this Gold’s year? I have convened a special council of the captions to determine how we can answer this question since we were not able to have our traditional Games Day in the fall due to pandemic safety precautions. We look forward to the potential of a spring game day, but in the meantime MoravianAcademy will host a series of monthly Red and Gold Cup Challenges.
Each month on a spirit day, students on the Red team and students on the Gold team will test their minds, bodies, and spirits seeking victory for their team. There will be challenges that are physical and challenges that are mental. By May 2021, we will award the Red and Gold Challenge Cup and one team will raise their flag and ring the bell.

What to wear: This is a non-uniform day for Downtown Campus and a spirit day for the Merle-Smith Campus. Students should dress in their team color – either red or gold. Clothing should be kept in the spirit of the school’s dress code and be seasonally appropriate for the weather; pants, long-sleeve shirts or sweatshirts, socks, and comfortable shoes. Students in grades 6-12 may wear their appropriate athletic attire. As this is not an all day event with classes earlier in the day, there are certain items that are not allowed: they may not bring props, paint their faces , or have glitter. The only exception to this is for the senior captains, who have special responsibilities that day.
