The Pennsylvania State Soccer Coaches Association (PSCA) announced it has chosen Moravian Academy Coach Robert Hartman to receive the 2019 W. Gene Davis Memorial Award as Coach of the Year in the A Male classification.
Each year the PSCA honors one of its members as coach of the year in each high school classification. The criterion for this honor is very demanding. The coach must demonstrate knowledge of the game through the understanding of the rules and have developed a sound coaching philosophy. They must have established good rapport with the team, officials, and other coaches. Their conduct, as well as the conduct of the team, must represent the highest ideals of the game. They must also have exhibited involvement outside their high school program and be recognized by fellow coaches.
The award will be bestowed at the PSCA dinner, hosted by the Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association, on January 25th in Harrisburg.
Congratulations, Coach Hartman!
