Robotics Team Rewarded For Hard Work Despite Cancelled Season

Fifteen dedicated students that made up the 2020 Moravian Academy Upper School Robotics Team were recognized for their hard work they put in this past season.

Overall, 456 student hours went into building the robot this year.

“The Dark Byte” team was set to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition in Bridgewater, New Jersey in late March, however, that event and the rest of the season were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last week, Moravian Academy Robotics Coach Lara Cesco-Cancian dropped off gifts to the team members thanking them for their efforts. The six seniors received a water bottle that said ‘FIRST Alumni.’ Other students were rewarded with a FIRST Robotics t-shirt and bags of candy.

Congratulations to the entire team! We look forward to seeing you compete in 2021.
