For anyone who is unfamiliar with the Jewish New Year, here's a quick tutorial:


Rosh Hashanah begins a ten-day period known as the "High Holy Days" or the "Days of Awe". This is a central holiday season in Judaism and a time to give as much grace to our Jewish students as possible in terms of academic and other expectations. Many will spend full days praying at the synagogue or will be traveling for family gatherings. The High Holy Days culminate on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. This is the holiest day of the year in Judaism and will be celebrated this year from sundown on 9/15 to sunset on 9/16. You can learn more here
