Second Grade completed a sweet assignment during this week of virtual learning while studying the Colonial Moravians -- baking a Moravian sugar cake!
We use a recipe from a book that retired second grade-teachers Diane Taylor and Ruth Schmidt wrote and illustrated. Students were given the recipe and asked to record themselves during the baking process and to share the video with the class.
Virtual learning presents opportunities for hands-on activities that are creative (and delicious)! Just ask Asiya '31, who is pictured proudly showing off her lovefeast-ready cake.
