In the seventh-grade science classes, students have been discovering cells as the basic units of life!
Within a single cell is a network of organelles that work together to keep a cell functioning properly. Throughout the unit, students created a model of a plant or animal cell and labeled each part of the cell.
Students also created a key to complement their cell model with a description of each organelle's specific function. Some of the major cell parts include the nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum, ribosomes, golgi bodies, mitochondria, chloroplasts, and cell membranes.
The cell models will be on display in Mr. Haddad's room and throughout the science hallway.
