Sixth-grade science students have been fortunate to conduct ecology field studies right in our own backyard this fall!
We have ventured out to God’s Acre on a regular basis this school year for hands-on learning to observe and explore the trees, habitats, animal and plant populations, abiotic and biotic factors, interactions and ecosystems in this wonderful space.
As the seasons have changed from late summer to early and mid fall, the students have been able to appreciate and understand the changes that occur in God’s Acre in real time from an ecology perspective. Getting outside has also provided us with wonderful opportunities to have fun and work collaboratively while remaining socially distant!
